How to measure a fence for a windscreen.

First, make a rough sketch of the entire area that you need to measure for screens. Record your measurements on this sketch. The manufacturer will mark each windscreen with a size when they ship it to you and you can use your sketch to hang your screens quickly and easily.

Next, using a good quality tape measure place your tape hook against the tension bar of your fence (not the fence post) and pull you tape as tight as you can across the area you need to measure. This will be your linear foot measurement for that area. For example: On a 6 foot high fence your would supply our office with a measurement reading 55'10"  X  6'.  It is better not to exceed a 60' in length piece as it will be less difficult to hang. Standard windscreen sizes are 6' and 9'. If you have an area that is a different height you should measure from the top of the fence to the bottom of the fence for height and tension bar to tension bar for width. If you have a 1/2" measurement it is better to round down. A windscreen that is too long for the fence is an eyesore.

Once you compile your measurements, email your list along with your zip code and windscreen choice and we will email you a quote.

How to properly hang a windscreen to protect your warranty.

The most important things you can do to protect your windscreen and your fence is to hang your windscreens properly. There is no magic bullet to protect windscreens and fences in high winds but proper installation will go a long way to prevent damage to both.

To begin, unroll and lay your screen on the ground in front of the playing side of your fence with the folded hems facing the fence. You can use 3 or 4 S hooks to hang and stabilize your screen for easy installation. Pick a row of mesh to follow to make sure your screen it straight or use a piece of string between posts to guide you.  Hang screens taut and use every grommet hole provided - top, bottom, sides and for 9' screens through the center. Begin by going up the left side and across the top with 50# Ty wraps. Go down the right side and across the bottom with 120# Ty wraps. For 9' windscreens use twine or 120# Ty wraps for center.

Note: We recommend Ty wraps as do our vendors because they can breakaway instead of tearing your fence down in high winds depending on the direction of the wind. On a strong fence without Ty wraps holding your screens your grommets will tear. This is why your warranty could be void if you do not use Ty wraps to hang your screens.
